The fundamental principle of Dynamic Imaging is quite simple. JM Canty’s vision based technique works on the basic principle of presenting the fluid between a high intensity light source, and microscopic camera.

With the light and camera on opposite sides of the flow stream, images of the fluid (oil or water) and any suspended particulate (oil, water, solids, air bubbles) will be captured.

These captured images are then sent to Cantyvision Client Software for analysis, where the suspended particulate is measured under a number of different parameters to provide size, shape and concentration data for each individual type of particulate within the oil pipeline.
