Lewis on course

JWF's Lewis Morrison (Internal Sales Engineer), last weekend, successfully completed the Year 1 module of the Executive Engineers’ Event via The Royal Academy of Engineering. The course, held at The Moller Centre in Cambridge, is designed specifically to enhance innovative top engineering graduates, ensuring they continue to develop as professionals post study.

Lewis found the course to be particularly helpful and said, “The Executive Engineers’ Event was a great experience as it provided me with the opportunity to network with various likeminded young engineers. Many companies these days do not hire masses of graduates so it was a great opportunity to meet people who are in a similar situation to myself and allowed us to compare experiences of our working life.

“Smaller companies like JWF do not have structured graduate training programs and the seminars offered good insight into the best practice management techniques. The seminars focused primarily on personal development in the workplace and tie in with my continued technical learning. I feel this will give me a better handle on working in the engineering sector with JWF”.

“Ideally, I want to progress towards chartership and the seminars have given me a good grounding to start this process.”

Lewis’ Manager, Ralph Wassell, commented, “Lewis is an outstandingly able engineering graduate who has been working as a key member of JWF’s Internal Sales team for the past year”.

“JWF are always keen to give staff the scope to develop professionally and this seemed like an ample opportunity for Lewis”.
