Onsite meter calibrations for major Scottish whisky company
Customer Issue
Our customer, a major Scottish whisky manufacturer, required a variety of process flow meters calibrated at four different distillery sites throughout the remote areas of northern Scotland during a four-week maintenance shutdown.
Solution
We designed our new mobile flow calibration rig around the various site requirements and deployed the equipment along with two of our service engineers.
Over 4 weeks we successfully calibrated 61 flow meters across four different distilleries in northern Scotland.
A variety of flow meters were calibrated including coriolis and electromagnetic flow meters.
Outcome
Working collaboratively with the client team, we delivered a smooth-running, well-organised project within the specified timeframe to ensure operations were back up and running as quickly as possible.
This saves our customer money by preventing the need for meter replacement and increasing product life.
We’ll be carrying out a further 27 calibrations at another distillery during Q1 2025.
