First announced in 2012 and following a 3½ year build, the Edrington Group opened its £140 million Macallan Distillery and Visitor Centre in June 2018.
Based on the banks of the River Spey in Moray, the new distillery is expected to increase production of The Macallan, the world’s most popular single malt whisky in value, by a third.
Having been awarded the complete instrumentation package, JWF worked closely alongside Grants (Dufftown) Ltd, from initial planning through to onsite commissioning, in order to satisfy the customer’s unique demands.
In the end, more than 500 individual instruments were supplied delivering various measurement technologies from our global manufacturer partners including ABB, WIKA and VEGA.
