JWF supports youth development sponsorship deal at GHA Rugby Football Club

Fresh off the back of its National League 1 success this season and resulting promotion to the Premiership, we’re delighted to announce that we have agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with Glasgow’s largest and fully amateur, GHA Rugby Club.

In addition to supporting the club’s new kit, JWF is set to support funding for a Director of Youth Performance which will facilitate the setting up of a new youth academy at Braidholm.

Kenneth Fairbairn, Managing Director at JWF, said: “Whilst there has been a deep family connection for many years between JWF and GHA, the glorious game of rugby embodies several values that align well with our strong business principles of teamwork and collaboration, commitment, resilience and adaptability, and we’re proud to be able to continue supporting the next generation through this rich and diverse club.”

As a longstanding supporter of GHA Rugby Club, JWF has supported several of the club’s key initiatives and developments throughout the years, including sponsoring GHA’s new 3G pitch and the current fencing on the perimeter of the 1st XV pitch.
About GHA Rugby Club

Based in Glasgow’s southside at Braidholm, GHA is one of Scotland’s premier rugby clubs, catering for players of all ages and abilities. The club was established 2002 when Glasgow Southern RFC and Hutchesons’ – Aloysians RFC were merged and has its roots as Clarkston RFC which was formed in 1937.

GHA is home to one of the largest rugby and associated memberships in Scotland. This season it fielded three competitive senior squads playing at some of the highest levels in Scottish grassroots rugby. Its 600+ strong minis and midis junior section is an incredibly successful and thriving attribute of the club that caters for boys and girls aged 5-18 years.

Off the pitch, GHA is a community-focussed club involved in local and national charitable causes through its food bank initiative and annual Ladies’ Day and pre-match lunches where monies are raised for charities like Prostate Scotland.
